The film’s production team has reportedly begun work in Pune, where Shah Rukh was previously filming for Siddharth Anand’s Pathan. A copy of a permission letter to shoot at Sant Tukaram Nagar Metro Station in Mumbai has found its way to the internet. The letter confirms that the film has been titled, Lion. It is unclear whether Lion is the final title or the film’s working title.

According to the permission letter from the film’s production house, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara’s film has been titled Lion. A few important sequences were shot inside and outside the metro station. The letter dated August 8 shows that the makers have requested permission to shoot some important sequences from August 27 to September 7 from 6 am to 10 pm.

Nayanthara, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Lion, was spotted arriving at Mumbai airport recently. Reportedly, she will resume the shooting of Lion in the city. Lion is tipped to be a commercial thriller high on action.
Back in September 2021, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara shot some important action sequences for Lion in Pune. After that, the Lion team took a break for different reasons. For the past few months, rumours were rife that the film had been dropped. However, sources close to director Atlee rubbished the rumours.
Now in the latest viral pictures, Shah Rukh Khan is seen covered in the snaps and getting inside an ambulance. Seemingly, he is in the middle of the shoot as he is surrounded by the crew. Netizens are sharing the pictures using the hashtags ‘Atlee’ and ‘lion’. The leaked pictures have created a lot of excitement among fans.
However, there has been no official confirmation about the same, neither from the actress nor from the makers. It will be interesting to see, who if at all, an actress replaces Nayanthara in Lion. Maybe we guess Shah Rukh has a double role in the film, that of son and father.
