Namaste England Review
Love makes you do crazy things and occasionally the unexpected too. But, getting embroiled in illegal immigration for the sake of your love, does seem a bit far-fetched. ‘Namaste England’ is the story of a thankfully married couple who gets caught in an unusual adventure.
The couple wants to relocate to London, leaving behind a relaxed life in Punjab, just due to the fact the wife, Jasmeet, isn’t allowed to have a career. The apparently innovative couple, take some bizarre selections in lifestyles, ones that surely take their dating to a breaking point. The tale does have an underlying message, however, the lackluster writing and path are not capable of exploring the genuine capability of the movie.
Storyline
‘Namaste England’, begins as a run-of-the-mill love story, where boy meets a woman, they fall in love and very soon get married. But, the hassle arises when Jasmeet (Parineeti) wishes to be a jewelry designer and Param (Arjun) can’t assist her out despite the fact that he wants to. He and his father have been sworn with the aid of Jasmeet’s grandfather to now not let her paintings. Even in the case, you do come to phrases with the regressive values of the characters, the ho-hum screenplay makes ‘Namaste England’ lots harder to sit via.
The long-drawn first half of the film just doesn’t get moving. The interval brings a sudden twist, however then the second half dives into over-the-top comedy and melodrama. The complete premise of Param not being able to get a visa is a touch too light on good judgment. What makes matters worse is the background score, which feels find it irresistible belongs in a campy 90s comedy.

‘Namaste England’ is shot in some stunning locations across India and Europe. But the exceptional putting is allowed down by the predictable and uninspired writing.

Lead Roles Performance
Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra had crackling chemistry in ‘Ishaqzaade’ (2012) and the duo still seems exquisite collectively, however, their characters are poorly crafted that even their exceptional efforts can’t salvage the tale.
Parineeti, especially, tries very tough to feature a few semblances of admire for her overall performance, however, it just doesn’t reflect. Alankrita Sahai, in a glamorous avatar, appears first rate on-display screen, however, her position doesn’t provide any chance to carry out, either.
Rating: 3/5
